The 2023-24 NBA regular season hasn’t exactly gone as planned for the Golden State Warriors, with the storied franchise struggling to compete with the best of the best in the Western Conference throughout the majority of the year thus far.
This has led many to conclude that the era of dominance for the Warriors is finally over, as the team could break up their iconic star trio this summer if things continue to head in the wrong direction.
Obviously, with the Warriors no longer the dominant force of old, superstar guard Stephen Curry has been thinking about the future and what it may hold for him in terms of when he may walk away from the game.
During NBA All-Star Weekend, Curry opened up about his future and whether he thinks about retirement and when that might happen, via ClutchPoints.
“I think about it all the time, but the thoughts stop because you gotta get ready for the next game and there’s a routine and a cycle that goes where you embrace the now,” he said.

Even though Curry admits that he thinks about the end of his playing career “all the time,” he still thinks he’s got a lot of basketball left in him, and by all accounts he’s right with how well he’s played.
Despite the Warriors’ struggles this season, Curry continues to play at a superstar level and might be helping the team turn things around after a poor start to the first half of the regular season.
The Warriors have won eight of their last 10 games and are showing signs of a team that could be figuring things out at a time when the season can be salvaged, and a playoff run is still a possibility.
