For years, people have repeatedly asked a major NBA question: Is Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors the best point guard of all time?
People have debated this again and again but few have actually asked Curry his opinion.
Gilbert Arenas did and Curry’s answer was brief and to the point: “Yes.”
Upon elaboration, Curry said that he and Magic Johnson should be in the conversation for the greatest point guard of all time, via Arenas on Twitter.
Few people would disagree with that.

Looking at Johnson’s stat sheet, you can understand why he’d be in the running for the best PG ever.
He averaged 19.5 points and 11.2 assists a game during his 13 years in the league.
He earned 12 All-Star spots, five championships, three Finals MVP trophies, and three regular-season MVPs.
He did all of this while being taller than most other point guards too.
As for Curry, he has put up 24.6 points and 6.5 assists during his 14 years and has earned four championship rings, two MVPs, and nine All-Star selections.
Arenas claimed that Curry’s impact on the league goes beyond Johnson’s.
He said that when you watch kids play basketball, they mimic the style of Curry, not of Johnson.
In that way, he has had a bigger influence on the NBA and the way that people understand and view basketball.
Yet, historians and many players, former and current, say that Johnson did things no one had before.
Because of that and the success he found, he will forever be known as the best person at that position.
Like many NBA debates, this is one that will go on forever.
But now we finally know what Curry believes.
