Being an NBA player is a lot of people’s dream job.

You get paid literally millions of dollars to play the game of basketball.

You also get to travel all over the country and even the world, be around celebrities, and enjoy all the perks that come with fame and fortune.

Nonetheless, NBA players also have to make plenty of sacrifices.

They’re constantly missing birthdays or major family events because of their line of work; that’s just the way it is.

That’s why Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry took a moment from his post-game interview after Team USA’s win over Canada to wish his daughter, Ryan, a happy birthday (via NBA).

Curry told his daughter that he missed her and wished that he could’ve been there, adding that he had to work.

Notably, Curry and his children have starred in several heartwarming moments over the course of the years.

First, it was his daughter, Riley, who made her way to the podium during a post-game interview, stealing the headlines and going viral for her adorable antics.

Then, it was his son, Canon Curry, who made the rounds for greeting Klay Thompson with an adorable ‘Hello, Klay Thompson’ that became iconic.

More than an NBA superstar, Curry has also drawn plenty of praise for being the ultimate family man, a role model that wasn’t always present among professional athletes.

Fortunately for him, he’ll have plenty of time to make up for those major events he was forced to miss because of his line of work.
