Despite being one of the greatest players in NBA history and the guy to beat in the league for the past decade or so, Stephen Curry had never been an Olympian.
That’s why it only made sense that Team USA made him the starting point guard for the Avengers-like team they’re assembling to dominate in Paris for the summer.
With that in mind, the Golden State Warriors star reached out to Dub Nation to talk about how excited he was about getting the opportunity to play for Team USA again and how much he was looking forward to bringing the gold medal back home.

As of now, Curry has a perfect 18-0 record playing for Team USA, helping them win two FIBA World Cups.
Now, he’s the undisputed best point guard in the game, and he’s earned the right to get the nod for this iconic squad, one expects them to be as dominant as the Dream Team.
Then again, international basketball has gotten significantly better over the past five years or so.
The gap has become narrower, and while Team USA should still be strongly favored over their opposition, this might not be the cakewalk it used to be back in the day.
Still, with Curry and this roster, there are more than enough reasons to be excited about this team.
