De’Aaron Fox of the Sacramento Kings recently became the first NBA star signed to Stephen Curry’s “Curry Brand”.
This was a huge deal for both Curry and Fox.
It was important for the Warriors icon because it legitimized his brand and took it to the next level.
And for Fox, it was a sign that he had really arrived and earned the approval and blessing of one of the league’s biggest stars.
“It all started because he liked the shoes,” Curry told NBC Sports, saying that his brand was looking to find players that exemplified his style of playing and mindset.
When Curry found out that Fox liked the brand’s shoes, a relationship was formed and it ultimately ended with the career-changing signing.

Acquiring Fox was a brilliant move by Curry and his brand, considering he is one of the brightest up-and-coming stars in the NBA.
Last season, Fox scored 25 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 6.1 assists and earned his first All-Star appearance too.
He was also named the NBA Clutch Player of the Year and helped his team push into the playoffs for the first time in nearly two decades.
Fox is at the center of one of the most exciting teams in the league.
He plays a type of basketball that is in fact very similar to Curry’s, which makes this signing even smarter.
He moves with lightning-fast speed and can post unbelievable shots from all over the court.
In a few years, Fox might be one of the top-five most popular players in the NBA, which will make this signing even more beneficial for the brand.
This is a deal that made sense for both Fox and Curry and it says a lot about the status of the young Kings star.
