In just a matter of days, Steph Curry and LeBron James will play together as they battle to bring Team USA a gold medal at the Paris Olympics.

But for years now, these two have been fighting against each other.

Speaking to Vincent Goodwill, Curry talked about his relationship with James and how it has evolved over the years.

He said things have been good between him and James since they met years ago and James even invited Curry to his home during his rookie year.

Their friendship then grew a “healthy animosity” as they met in the playoffs multiple times and reached the Finals again and again.

Today, they are both older and still competing hard against each other but are seemingly closer than ever.

Curry and James are clearly very close and have been for years.

They are friends but have still tried to take one another down on multiple occasions.

For several years, Curry’s Golden State Warriors and James’ Cleveland Cavaliers were the top teams in their conferences and faced off in the Finals.

Golden State’s track record during those championships was better than Cleveland’s but James was always playing very hard.

Fans have longed to see Curry and James on the same team but that isn’t going to happen.

So their time together on Team USA is the one and only chance to see them compete together and fight for a common goal.

Unsurprisingly, these two friends are making magic on the court together and could be coming home with a gold medal.
