The Golden State Warriors didn’t have a great game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday.
The 2022 NBA champions tried to keep up with the Lakers, but after the second quarter finished, things went south.
As soon as the third quarter started, the Lakers took off and never looked back.
In the end, they secured the 127-97 win over the Warriors, making a big statement.
Following the game, Stephen Curry reacted to this defeat, making it clear the Warriors aren’t going down that easily.
“That’s kind of the nature of a playoff series, especially because of how drastically different we play,” Curry said. “We’ll respond — got a lot of confidence in our ability to do that and it’s why you play the game.”

Curry and co. have shown time and time again that it is a mistake to doubt them.
The Warriors have come back from bigger deficits before, and they still are talented enough to turn things around.
Of course, nobody expected the Lakers to be this good last night, but they did it and took the lead in the series.
Putting Jarred Vanderbilt on Draymond Green and Anthony Davis on JaMychal Green worked wonders for the Lakers.
Now, it’s Steve Kerr’s turn to make his adjustments.
Game 4 will be key for this series. A 3-1 deficit would be difficult for the Warriors to come back from.
As the Sacramento Kings learned, you should never doubt the heart of a champion, and the Warriors will try to confirm that.
Curry and the Warriors will try to even this series on Monday.
