Stephen A. Smith is one of the biggest New York Knicks fans around and is very excited right now.
That’s because his Knicks are the second seed in the Eastern Conference for the first time since the 2012-13 season.
According to Smith, the future is very bright for the Knicks.
“The New York Knicks are going to the Conference Finals,” Smith said on Monday’s “First Take.”

Smith listed a number of reasons why the Knicks are in such a good position moving forward.
Even without the help of Julius Randle, the Knicks have the hard work and talent of OG Anunoby, Donte DiVincenzo, Mitchell Robinson, Isaiah Hartenstein, and others.
Of course, they also have Jalen Brunson, an MVP candidate and one of the best point guards in the league.
Smith said that Giannis Antetokounmpo isn’t healthy, the Miami Heat aren’t looking like their normal selves, and Joel Embiid is still trying to shake off his injuries.
That is laying the pathway for the Knicks to go all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals.
If they can get that far, there is a very good chance they will be battling against the Boston Celtics, a supremely tough opponent who will give them a very difficult time.
But Smith and others think that the Knicks might have what it takes to stop the Celtics from fighting for a championship.
The Knicks have been on a roll lately, winning their last five games and earning the second seed on the last day of the season.
Can they keep this trend going and continue winning?
The Knicks have had their best season in years and they are hoping it doesn’t end anytime soon.
