Throughout the course of NBA history, we’ve seen some strong characters pursue success in the booth after their playing days are over.
Some have become widely respected analysts or commentators, while others are now pursuing a career in the podcast industry — some even while still playing.
With that in mind, in his recent appearance on the Podcast P show, Stephen A. Smith revealed that he would love to have a debate show with Charles Barkley and Kevin Garnett, citing that the former has been doing it for so long and was also one of the greatest players in league history, and the other is ‘a real one’ that knows how to articulate his often-controversial takes.

Stephen A. has made a name for himself for telling it as it is, and his hilarious signature rants have gone viral more often than not.
We may never forget his rant completely obliterating Kwame Brown, or how he loves to call Aaron Rodgers a bad man and make fun of the Dallas Cowboys.
Needless to say, there’s also a fair share of detractors, just like it happens with every single public figure, but still, Smith is mostly beloved and respected and one of the highest-earners at ESPN for a reason.
That being said, watching him go toe-to-toe with either Barkley or Garnett would be hilarious, so all the major networks should start picking up their phones and try to make this happen ASAP.
