Brandon Miller hasn’t set foot on an NBA court yet, but he’s already drawing a lot of unwanted attention toward himself.
The Alabama standout had been tangled up in a gun-related controversy months ago, yet that didn’t hurt his draft stock or make people question his judgment or character.
But now that he’s openly stated that he considers Paul George to be the GOAT of basketball, everybody has stepped up with a lot to say.
That includes ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, who took to Twitter to call Miller’s claim “utterly ridiculous” while hilariously using a meme of himself to diss him.

Don’t get us wrong, George is a star in this league and one of the best two-way players of the past two decades or so, but he’s nowhere near the GOAT conversation.
The fact that he’s still playing basketball and throwing 360 and windmill dunks after breaking his leg in two is borderline a miracle, and there’s no denying that any team would be more than grateful to have him on their roster.
But from that to GOAT talk, that’s just a lot.
Young guys will usually have something different or bizarre to say about things; that’s just the way they are, and Miller wouldn’t be the first guy to talk himself into the public eye right before entering the league.
And well, to each his own, but there’s simply no way that Miller actually believes that George is the greatest hooper of all time; that’s just not happening.
