James Harden will soon make his season debut after getting traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Harden requested a trade from the Philadelphia 76ers earlier this year.

The former NBA MVP apparently felt betrayed by the 76ers organization, especially Daryl Morey.

Now, in his first official press conference as a member of the Clippers, Harden fired on all cylinders as he went on an epic rant about the 76ers.

After hearing Harden’s rant, NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith shared his views on it, via “First Take” on Twitter.

.@stephenasmith reacts to James Harden’s recent comments on the 76ers:

“When I saw James Harden … it looked like a person that felt completely betrayed. And what he is asking the public to do is get that. Get how you would feel if you were lied to.” pic.twitter.com/sF5ImpWQbX

Smith is not someone who sugarcoats his words, so if he had felt Harden’s rant was wrong, he would have been the first person to call him out.

However, Smith took Harden’s side as he urged fans to understand what Harden must be feeling after being lied to by the 76ers.

While that part is true, Harden could have tried to handle the situation a bit better rather than skipping most of the offseason activity.

Either way, Harden is now a Clipper and will hope to win the first NBA Championship of his career this season.

In the 2022-23 season, Harden averaged 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 10.7 assists per game.

Considering Harden’s phenomenal talent will be combined with the brilliance of Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook, the Clippers may very well be the team to beat in the Western Conference this season.
