Dillon Brooks of the Memphis Grizzlies is currently receiving a lot of backlash.
This current backlash isn’t about the things he’s said; instead, it’s about the things he didn’t say.
After talking about LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers last week, Brooks went silent following his ejection in Game 3 and his team’s subsequent loss.
This shows a lot about him, according to Stephen A. Smith.
“It just shows a flagrant level of mental weakness when you chirping and then all of the sudden you got a bad day and you don’t wanna answer for the stuff that you created,” Smith said on Monday morning.

Brooks was ejected in the third quarter of Saturday’s night game.
Unlike previous nights, he didn’t want to speak to the press following the ejection and loss.
He hasn’t heard the end of it since then.
Brooks has put himself in a tricky situation: he is talking the big talk but he obviously needs to back it up unless he wants to feel the blowback from NBA fans.
Even though the Grizzlies has a bad night on Saturday, this series is nowhere near finished.
If the Grizzlies are able to secure a victory on Monday night in Los Angeles, the tables will have officially been turned, according to Smith.
“They [the Lakers] cannot go back to Memphis tied 2-2 and think that’s going to be a good thing for them. It will not be,” Smith said.
Brooks will be back for Game 4 and he could have a strong, statement showing.
He might let his playing do the talking on Monday night.
