Stephen A. Smith didn’t go easy on Los Angeles Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard on Thursday morning.

Appearing on “First Take,” Smith called Leonard “the worst superstar in the history of sports” and lambasted Leonard for failing to show up for his team when he was needed the most.

“He is a nightmare,” Smith said.

Smith has made these complaints about Leonard in the past but history repeated itself this year and it is leading him to railing against him again.

Once again, Leonard was looking like a strong player during the regular season.

And, sadly, once again, he was injured during the playoffs and couldn’t help the Clippers, who were pushed out in the first round.

Despite his returning physical problems, the Clippers are still riding with Leonard for at least the next few seasons.

They seem to forget how often he gets hurt whenever the time to negotiate Leonard’s contract rolls around.

They still think Leonard is a vital part of the team and they want him to be playing for them, especially when their new arena opens next season.

The Clippers have a couple of big decisions to make this summer regarding both Paul George and James Harden.

But their minds are made up about Leonard and he will be back with the team in the new season.

However, now everyone is wondering how healthy he will be and how much he will be on the court.

If Leonard keeps getting hurt at the worst time, this team is never going to go far.

Will he redeem himself or will he still be considered the worst superstar in NBA history, according to Smith?
