Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors has done so many things during his storied and historic NBA career.
However, this year marks his first time representing America at the Olympics.
Speaking to the San Francisco Chronicle, per NBC Sports, Curry spoke about being nervous before his team’s big game against Serbia.
Thankfully for American fans, Curry quickly calmed down and got his head in the game.
“I think I had a lot of nerves up until the national anthem,” Curry told the San Francisco Chronicle’s Ron Kroichick in Lille, France.

Curry has played for Team USA before, both at the 2010 World Championship and the 2014 World Cup.
But the Olympics have long eluded the four-time champion.
He was given the chance to play in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro games but passed because he had just been through a very trying and exhausting season.
This is Curry’s first time at the Olympics and likely his last since he is 36 years old.
There is a lot of pressure on his shoulders because his skills are needed by Team USA.
Playing in the Olympics can be intimidating for some athletes no matter the level of success they have found.
Curry admitted that he was certainly nervous but it didn’t last for long.
During Sunday’s game, he scored 11 points on 4-of-8 from the field and landed 3 of his 7 three-point attempts.
Now that his nerves are completely taken care of, Curry can continue to focus on delivering exactly what his team requires.
They are one step closer to a gold medal, which would be one of the highlights of the sharpshooter’s career.
