Steph Curry has become one of the most iconic players in NBA history.

He is known for revolutionizing the game for his elite three-point shooting abilities, and continues to dominate the game, even though he is 36 years old.

Curry proved he still has plenty of room in the tank during the Olympics, leading Team USA with strong performances in his final two games.

He has made a name for himself from behind the arc, something he started doing when he was in college.

Despite being a spectacular athlete and a dominant shooter, Curry recently revealed that it took him longer than most to dunk for the first time.

As he shared via the NBA on Twitter, when asked about the first time he dunked, Curry said, “19 years old. Freshman in college. Took me that long.”

Q to LeBron: “How old were you when you first dunked?”

AD: “Two? Two years old?”

At 6’2″, Curry is relatively tall for an average person, but when it comes to NBA athletes, he is certainly on the shorter side.

Dunking at that height is easy, on paper, but as Curry mentioned, it took him a long time to make it happen.

The good thing for Curry is that neither the Golden State Warriors nor Team USA needed him to make any explosive plays in the form of dunks.

He was the most well-suited as a three-point shooter, a role he thrived in during international competition.

While playing for Team USA was an honor for Curry and his teammates, it’s now time to refocus and continue to get ready for the 2024-2025 season.
