There were a lot of rumors surrounding Steph Curry during the NBA offseason.
Some people believed Curry wanted out of Golden State, and that the Warriors didn’t have his best intentions in mind.
One of the reasons for this belief was the organization’s unwillingness to re-sign Klay Thompson, who is now a member of the Dallas Mavericks.
Curry was also looking for a contract extension, and if the Warriors didn’t give him what he wanted, there was talk of Curry looking for employment elsewhere.
The team eventually complied, giving him a one-year extension worth over $60 million.
Now that pen has hit paper, Curry can take some time and relax ahead of the 2024-2025 campaign.
Jomboy Media pointed out on X that Curry attended a New York Mets game on Labor Day, supporting another professional sport.

The NBA season is right around the corner, and while Curry had some fun at this Mets game, he’ll need to get back to business soon.
The Warriors have a tough road ahead of them without Thompson and will need to find contributions from unexpected players on their roster.
Teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves, Denver Nuggets, and Dallas Mavericks, have all gotten better in the offseason, making for a difficult path in next season’s playoff race.
Curry is among the best players in NBA history, but he can’t do it alone.
It will be interesting to see who will emerge as the No. 2 player for this team, and how far they’ll be able to go.
