Ray Allen is one of the best shooters to ever enter the NBA and is still beloved by many players and fans.
But former NBA star Stephen Jackson believes he was a better player than Allen.
Speaking to “Pardon My Take”, per Legion Hoops, Jackson was honest about his opinion of Allen:
“I’m not saying Ray wasn’t great, but I’m a basketball player. I wasn’t one-dimensional. I just think I was a better player in-game… But when it comes to lining up on the court against a lot of guys that’s Hall of Famers, I bust they a– a lot of nights. It’s just the truth. I should have been an All-Star in multiple years.”
Stephen Jackson thinks Ray Allen was a ‘one-dimensional’ player:

Some people will be shocked and appalled to hear Jackson call Allen “one-dimensional.”
Others may agree because Allen made a name for himself as a sharpshooting star who was most capable from beyond the three-point line.
Jackson claimed he was a “better play in-game,” but the numbers tell a different story.
Jackson had a career average of 15.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists during his 14 years.
As for Allen, he posted 18.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists during his 18 years.
Jackson was never an All-Star but did receive a championship ring due to his work with the 2003 San Antonio Spurs.
And Allen garnered two championships, 10 All-Star spots, a place in the Hall of Fame, and more.
Regardless of the numbers and the accolades, both of these players were fantastic and their teams were lucky to have them.
Will Allen fire back at this criticism or let Jackson’s words fade away?
