The Golden State Warriors are in shambles during the 2023-24 NBA season.
Despite having a 5-1 start to the season, the Dubs haven’t managed to win games consistently since then.
On top of the team going through a tough time, veteran forward Draymond Green seemingly cannot keep his aggression in check as the four-time NBA champion is currently on an indefinite suspension by the league.
Following Green’s weird behavior, many have started to call out Stephen Curry for being a lousy leader.
Upon hearing the chatter, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr stepped in to defend the superstar, via Yahoo Sports on Twitter.
“It’s actually kind of sickening to me… disgusting,” Kerr said.

During his playing days, Kerr had a chance to share the court with many great leaders, such as Michael Jordan and Tim Duncan.
As a head coach, Kerr has played a crucial role in the rise of the Warriors dynasty during the 2010s.
Keeping that in mind, Kerr believes that Curry is as good a leader as he has ever been around.
Now, that’s a huge praise coming from someone who has shared the locker room with the great Michael Jordan.
There is no doubt that Curry is getting more frustrated than ever due to the team’s struggles, but can he really be blamed?
The Warriors are currently the 11th seed in the Western Conference with an underwhelming 10-14 record.
Amidst the chaos, Curry is still averaging 28.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game for the Warriors while shooting 46.0% from the field and 41.3% from the three-point line.
With Curry leading the team by setting an example via his performances, it’s only natural that Kerr doesn’t believe that the veteran is a bad leader.
