There is no easy way to put it, but the Golden State Warriors are one of the biggest disappointments of the 2023-24 NBA season so far.

Despite having some of the most talented players of the last few years in Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, the Warriors haven’t played well for most of the season.

Stephen Curry proved his worth as the cornerstone player on the Warriors by leading the team to an impressive win against the Brooklyn Nets.

After the game, head coach Steve Kerr heaped huge praise on Stephen Curry for carrying the team against the Nets via Kendra Andrews on Twitter.

“[Steph] has had to carry this team, let’s be honest. And then the Draymond news, he was emotionally spent the last few days,” Kerr said.

Steve Kerr: “(Steph) has had to carry this team, let’s be honest. And then the Draymond news, he was emotionally spent the last few days … but as he’s done so often, he flipped a switch … he was incredible.”

Kerr pointed out that Curry has had to carry the Warriors throughout the 2023-24 NBA season.

But even the four-time NBA champion had his mind elsewhere due to the recent behavior of his longtime teammate, Draymond Green.

However, instead of sulking about Green’s indefinite suspension, Curry ensured to lead the team in the veteran forward’s absence.

Stephen Curry did so by dropping 37 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist in 35 minutes of playing time against the Brooklyn Nets.

Following Curry’s dominant game, the Warriors are now 11-14 this season, as they are still the 11th seed in the Western Conference.

While Curry’s monster game helped the Warriors in snapping their losing streak, the Warriors need him to carry the team for more games if the franchise wants to make a comeback this season.
