Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr said that he has six starters this season.
He was obviously talking about Chris Paul, who joined the likes of Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, and Kevon Looney.
Now, it seems like he might want to consider throwing another name out there.
Jonathan Kuminga was on the floor to close out the game, taking Wiggins’ spot.
When asked about that, Kerr simply told the media that he’s going to play whoever’s playing better, regardless of his name (via Warriors on NBC Sports).
“Whoever is playing the best will finish the game.”

Kuminga is coming off a strong preseason, and he’s expected to break out this year.
He was one of the few efficient scorers for the Warriors on a night they couldn’t knock down a single shot, and while he’s not as good a shooter as Wiggins, he’s an elite athlete with some impressive defensive traits.
The former G-League standout contributed on both ends of the floor, logging 12 points, six rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block on 50% from the floor in just 20 minutes.
Wiggins, on the other hand, scored 10 points with one rebound and one block while going 4-for-12 from the floor (33.3%) and 0-for-3 from beyond the three-point line.
The Warriors will have to tweak some things, especially when Draymond Green comes back from his ankle injury.
But if Chris Paul is in charge of running the second offense, Kuminga could be poised for that long-awaited breakout campaign and establish himself as a steady contributor to this team.
