The Golden State Warriors’ woes continue following their most recent defeat against the Dallas Mavericks.
In a high-scoring game, the Warriors were outplayed by the Mavericks, as the final score stood at 132-122 in favor of the Mavericks.
Following the defeat, the Warriors are now the 11th seed in the Western Conference and have an underwhelming 15-17 record right now.
Keeping the Warriors’ poor form in mind, many are wondering what is the biggest issue for the organization.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr recently gave his take on the root cause for the team’s struggles this season via Anthony Slater.
“We haven’t found that grit that every team needs where you pull together and just play for the group. That’s a problem,” Kerr said.

Kerr had a simple yet obvious explanation about the Warriors’ troubles in the 2023-24 NBA season.
The decorated head coach believes that he hasn’t seen his players play together like a team and show the hunger to win every game during the regular season.
As a result, the Warriors are one of the most underwhelming teams in the Western Conference this season.
To be honest, Kerr is correct about the Warriors’ inability to play like a single unit.
The entire roster is seemingly dependent on Stephen Curry’s ability to consistently carry them on his shoulders.
Curry has done this for most of the season, as he is averaging 27.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.
On the other hand, the four-time NBA champion hasn’t received much support from his teammates.
The Warriors are currently on a three-game losing streak and will play the Orlando Magic in their first game of the new year.
