After losing Klay Thompson, one of the biggest parts of their dynasty, in free agency, the Golden State Warriors have looked to fill the void with a few additions.
They brought in Buddy Hield, who, like Thompson, is a deadly 3-point shooter, and in the same trade also obtained Kyle Anderson.
For the past few years, Anderson has been a solid role player for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Memphis Grizzlies, and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr admitted that he has always been one of his favorite players to watch, per 95.7 The Game.
“Kyle Anderson has always been one of my favorite players to watch just because of how crafty and smart he is. He has a different style than Draymond, but I think his brain is at a similar level. Hugely high-IQ player.”

Anderson, a 6-foot-9, 230-pound forward who has been in the NBA for 10 seasons, is known as a strong defender and someone who can contribute here and there on offense.
He is nicknamed “Slo Mo” because of his delayed shot release, but he did shoot 41.0 percent from 3-point range during the 2022-23 season.
The Warriors’ dynasty is almost definitely over after Thompson’s departure and their failure to make the playoffs this past season, but they’re hoping to at least remain competitive as long as Stephen Curry remains a great player.
Curry had a bit of a down year this past season (at least by his standards), as he averaged 26.4 points and 5.1 assists per game while shooting 45.0 percent from the field and 40.8 percent from 3-point range.
The hope is that Hield, who has a career average of 15.5 points per game and a 40.0 percent success rate from downtown, will space the floor enough to give Curry the room he needs to return to a peak level of production.
