Although the Golden State Warriors were able to escape with a win against the Detroit Pistons, the team feels like it’s about to go through some changes.
Multiple players have reportedly been frustrated with their roles and could be on the move as head coach Steve Kerr continues to depend on his veteran players.
Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody are talented young players, but are in and out of Kerr’s rotation which has raised questions about their respective futures on the team.
It doesn’t help that the Warriors have also regressed much more quickly than some expected.
Kerr has the unenviable task of trying to win games while still developing the players on the roster who need more experience at the NBA level.
However, when addressing the potential issue of players growing discontent with their roles Kerr referred to his own experiences as a player in the league via NBC.
“I played for 15 years, and all 15 I was frustrated with my playing time,” Kerr said.

Kerr’s words might come off as harsh, but as a former player he understands that everyone in the league wants to play as many minutes as possible.
Golden State has won four championships under Kerr, and he is sticking with the players he knows he can trust in close games despite Kuminga and Moody showing flashes in their stints.
The growing discontent among the young players in the locker room doesn’t make for a good team dynamic, so it’ll be interesting to see if the front office makes some sort of move before the trade deadline.
