The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs will rematch in the biggest game of the year.

Four years ago, Patrick Mahomes and company got the last laugh with an epic fourth-quarter comeback to beat Kyle Shanahan’s team.

Mahomes and the Chiefs scored 21 points in the final period of the game to get the Vince Lombardi trophy for the first time in his career.

Now, however, the Niners have the better team and a thirst for revenge.

With that in mind, and hoping not to get on the wrong side of Bay area fans, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr predicted a narrow 24-23 win for the Niners (via 95.7 The Game).

Needless to say, that would be an epic win for the fans as well, as everybody loves a close and exciting Super Bowl.

The Niners have every single resource to get back at the Chiefs.

Their defensive line, anchored by Ohio State duo of Nick Bosa and Chase Young, is going to give the Chiefs’ offensive line a lot of trouble, and they’re also stacked in the secondary.

Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and George Kittle also make up for one of the best and most talented sets of skill players in recent years.

Then again, history has already taught us that you can never count Patrick Mahomes out, regardless of the context or the opposition.

Mahomes often rises to the occasion, and he led the team to the final game of the year even after their worst season since he became a starter.
