The Olympics are nearly here, giving athletes just a few weeks to prepare until the games begin.
For many sports, such as archery, swimming, and track and field, athletes only have to rely on themselves and their training.
Those are individual sports, meaning that athletes don’t have to rely on teammates to accomplish a common goal.
That is not the case for a sport like basketball, as players from a particular country have to work together to achieve the desired result.
Team USA is currently hard at work, hoping to win a goal medal as a result of the team they’ve put together.
Steph Curry was selected to the roster again this year, and he is joined by Golden State Warriors head coach, Steve Kerr.
Kerr has the honor of coaching the Olympic team, and while this is a big deal by itself, it seems to have more meaning to have Curry by his side.
As he mentioned in a recent interview shared by the Warriors on NBCS on Twitter, “Having Steph on the team is fantastic for any one of a number of reasons. He’s a brilliant player, but with the comfort level that we have together, we’ll run a few of the same actions that we run on Golden State for him. He’s very familiar with everything we’re doing.”

Kerr believes that his familiarity with Curry will help this team go a long way and that a similar system to Golden State will improve their chances of winning down the stretch.
