The Golden State Warriors created an NBA dynasty that will not soon be forgotten.
They will go down in history as one of the most dominant teams of their time, particularly known for taking down LeBron James-led teams.
Steph Curry, of course, was a big part of their success, but Klay Thompson was a major help as well.
Thompson and Curry are often viewed as the best long-range shooting duos in league history due to their success in the regular and postseason.
However, even though they had a lot of success, all good things must come to an end.
Thompson’s stat lines have gone down significantly in recent years, which Steve Kerr recently talked about in an appearance on 95.7, “The Game.”
Kerr said, “From 2014-10, pre-injury, Klay was unflappable. He rarely required much maintenance from me as a coach… I would always check in with him and he was always fine and loving life. That changed after the two injuries… In the end, he really needed this career change and I think it’s going to be good for him.”

Thompson is joining the Dallas Mavericks after a long career with the Warriors, hoping a new team can help him get back on track.
Assuming he can play for a full season, Thompson will have an opportunity to play alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving on a team that just made it to the NBA Finals.
Will he be healthy enough to help them take the next step and get over the hump?
