The Golden State Warriors have primarily been identified by two key players over the past decade.
Both Steph Curry and Klay Thompson have been instrumental in this team’s success, and there is a reason they are called the “Splash Brothers.”
Their dynamic of three-point shooting and overall basketball IQ are unlike many pairings that have existed in NBA history.
However, with Thompson struggling with injuries over the past few seasons, the Warriors have come to rely on other players to aid in their production.
One such player in recent seasons is Jonathan Kuminga.
Kuminga has been a vital role player for this team, not only getting it done as a scorer but also being highly efficient as a facilitator and rebounder as well.
He has been out for several games due to injury, and fans have been clamoring for his return as the team makes a push for a playoff spot.
Steve Kerr did provide a positive update ahead of the Warriors matchup with the Dallas Mavericks on April 2nd, saying, “He’ll play in Houston,” a game scheduled two days from this comment.
“He won’t play [tonight]. He’ll play in Houston [on Thursday].”

This is a step in the right direction for Kuminga, a player who has been greatly missed during his absence.
With any luck, Kuminga can come back on the floor more ready than ever, hoping to bring this team on a deep playoff run.
The Warriors might be a bubble playoff team at the moment, but if they can rally behind Kuminga over the next few weeks, they just might have enough momentum to make some noise in the postseason.
