With the NFL Draft just around the corner, most of the talk has been centered around the quarterbacks, and rightfully so.
It has been a while since we have had so many potential stars at the most important position, and as many as four QBs could be taken in the first five picks.
Nonetheless, that shouldn’t distract us from the fact that this class is also stacked with talent and wide receiver, with four or five players potentially going in the first round.
With that in mind, legendary WR Steve Smith Sr. shared his list of the top-five wide receivers in this class, and it was slightly surprising.

At No. 5, he chose Texas star Xavier Worthy, a potential deep-play threat with his combination of speed and acceleration and a very explosive pass-catcher.
Brian Thomas Jr. got the nod at No. 4, and while he’s seen as a more raw prospect, he also has plenty of room to grow and become a star, mostly thanks to his ability to pile up yards after the catch.
Then, he chose Washington’s Rome Odunze, perhaps the most physical specimen at the position in this draft, and a guy who can leave defenders dizzy with his quick change of direction.
Shockingly, he put Marvin Harrison Jr., the consensus No. 1 wideout in this class, at No. 2, even despite his pedigree as Marvin Harrison’s son and his elite resume at Ohio State.
Instead, he has LSU star Malik Nabers as the best wide receiver in this class, and while some might not agree, it’s clear that the talent gap between him and Harrison might not be as wide as initially thought.
