The Phoenix Suns’ 2023-2024 season ended a lot sooner than they anticipated.
They seemed to have momentum heading into the playoffs but were swept by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round.
Now, the team is forced to go back to the drawing board during the offseason, hoping to make changes to help their chances for success next year.
They have already hired a new coach in Mike Budenholzer and made several key roster decisions.
One of those decisions, as Shams Charania recently reported on Twitter, was bringing Josh Okogie back on a two-year contract worth $16 million.

Okogie has been a solid role player for the Suns throughout his time there, and the team is rewarding him with a new contract.
While this move doesn’t help the Suns as it pertains to their proximity to the salary cap, it does help them solidify one of their bench players moving forward.
Devin Booker and Kevin Durant are two of the best players in the league, and if they can click at the right time, there’s no telling how high this team’s ceiling is.
The NBA is all about who has momentum at the right time.
