The Phoenix Suns are looking to make a statement this season.

They put together one of the most talented teams in the league, stacking up with Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal.

But we already know — and they definitely do — that talent alone can’t win an NBA championship, which is why they want to put in some extra work.

Just like they did during the Monty Williams era, the Suns started working out and lifting weights shortly after beating the Warriors, as shown by Marc J Spears on Twitter.

Notably, other fans constantly clown the Suns for this practice, but there’s nothing wrong with getting some extra work.

The grind never stops in the NBA, and it’s a long season.

The Suns need to make sure to be in the best shape possible, on and off the court.

And given their recent history of injuries, it’s not far-fetched to see that they’re leaving no stone unturned and taking care of everything they can possibly control.

Even without Beal, the Suns were able to steal one game on the road over the Golden State Warriors.

They’re projected to have the best record in the Western Conference, even ahead of the reigning champions, Denver Nuggets.

But projections mean nothing unless they are actually able to live up to the expectations, and that’s just a part of the job.

Win or lose, no team can thrive in this league unless they give it their best try every single night they’re out there.
