The Phoenix Suns enter the season as one of the teams to watch.

However, it seems like the fans will have to wait for a little longer to watch Bradley Beal making his official debut.

According to a report by The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Beal is unlikely to play in the season opener vs. the Golden State Warriors as he continues to nurse an injured back.

The Suns won’t take any risks with their new star — or any of their star players, by that means — so, the former Washington Wizard won’t play until he’s back to full strength.

Notably, Beal was able to practice without any sort of limitation, so it shouldn’t take long before we see him on the floor with his new teammates.

Devin Booker was also dealing with a toe injury and was sidelined at some point in the preseason, but it didn’t sound too serious either, and he was also able to practice ahead of the season opener.

Injuries are the only thing that could get in the way of Frank Vogel’s team to an NBA championship, or a trip to the NBA Finals at the very least.

Besides their Big 3 of Booker, Beal, and Kevin Durant, they’ve added plenty of depth at every position in the offseason.
