In fact, hits and home runs are a big part of what makes the game so great.

The best players in the business taking their hacks is something that MLB fans from all walks of life can appreciate and enjoy.

And so, to close out the month of April and ring in May, MLB decided to make a list of some of the best hitters in the game as of right now.

At the top of the list is Mike Trout.

The Los Angeles Angels slugger is a three-time American League MVP and a 10-time All-Star.

He’s hitting .305 with five home runs in his first 95 at-bats of the 2023 season.

Ronald Acuna Jr., Max Muncy, Jarred Kelenic, and Matt Chapman follow Trout, in that order, to round out the top half of the list.

But the list certainly doesn’t end there, given that plenty of other hitters are making their mark this season.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays remains a threat at the plate.

He comes in at No. 6 on the list.

The reigning American League batting champion Luis Arraez is also present.

He slots in at No. 7, right behind Guerrero.

Wander Franco and Brandon Marsh have both been swinging hot bats, checking in at No. 8 and No. 9, respectively.

The reigning AL MVP and AL single-season home run king Aaron Judge is No. 10 on the list.
