The Houston Texans are clearly ahead of schedule.

No one, not even Nick Caserio, Demeco Ryans, or the more optimistic Texans fan ever thought they’d be this good this quickly, and the future seems quite bright for them.

More than that, they could get another prime reinforcement on the way as well.

Weeks ago, former franchise star JJ Watt revealed that he had been in touch with DeMeco Ryans, letting him know that, should he be in need of help on the defensive line, he’s still in good shape and would consider making a comeback.

With that in mind, Kay Adams asked his younger brother, TJ, if that was still on the table (via UP & Adams).

What are the chances @_TJWatt‘s BIG bro @JJWatt comes out of retirement??

“I don’t know… he’s still in great shape.”

Soooo you’re telling us there’s a chance… @heykayadams pic.twitter.com/pDxzXVj2pR

TJ laughingly claimed that she would have to ask his brother that, but he did admit that he’s still in great shape.

JJ Watt was one of the greatest defensive players of all time.

Injuries derailed his career, and a somewhat questionable string of moves by the Texans organization led him to play for the Arizona Cardinals before walking away from the game, but he’s still a Texan at heart.

So, never say never in this game, and even though he’s already taken the next step in his career as an analyst, we might get another chance to watch him play.
