One of the most intriguing players in all of the National Football League is Saints do-it-all backup quarterback Taysom Hill.

Apparently, the former BYU star is slated to do some things that he has not done yet at the NFL level and is excited about the prospect of that.

“It’s been a lot of fun,” Hill recently said in front of the New Orleans media.

“It’s weird to say after seven years of doing what I’ve been doing that I’m being asked to do things I’ve never done before.”

Hill has played every position on offense in his seven-year career so far.

Whether it has been at quarterback, running back, wide receiver, or tight end, he has made defenses look confused because of his versatility.

With franchise quarterback Derek Carr in his prime and in the middle of his career, Hill can solely focus on affecting the game in other ways besides throwing the football.

Last season, Hill recorded a career-high 291 receiving yards off of a career-best 33 receptions.

Two years ago, he rushed for a career-high 575 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Three years ago, he threw for a career-high 978 yards and went 4-1 as the starter.

He is 7-2 as a starting quarterback in the NFL.

It is fair to say that he is one of the ultimate wildcards in the league.

When he comes on the field, nobody knows what he will do.

That is why the Saints have the opportunity to make life very difficult once again for every opposing defense in 2024.
