Once Tom Brady’s playing career in the NFL was officially over, the future Hall of Famer walked away from the game with a record seven Super Bowl titles and the distinction of being arguably the greatest quarterback of all time, with little left to prove.
Although his final season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was forgettable, Brady still was able to walk away with his health and dignity intact, as he accomplished things no other player in the league was able to do, but one person wasn’t all that happy with the legendary quarterback.
Apparently, former NFL superstar wide receiver Terrell Owens has a bone to pick with Brady because the former Buccaneers quarterback completely ignored him during his last ride in Tampa Bay.
Owens recently appeared on “The Bubba Dub Show” and claimed he did everything he could to contact Brady during that final season in an effort to get a spot on the Buccaneers in a limited capacity following Antonio Brown’s wild antics, which resulted in that veteran wideout’s release.
The Hall of Fame receiver claims he even reached out to Randy Moss to help him get in contact with Brady but was ignored, via The Volume.
“Tom Brady ignored me, bro,” Owens said. “It may have been his last year in Tampa Bay. The year that AB went crazy on him, and I think everybody knew, I think a year and a half or two ago, I was talking about coming back. At that point in time, it was at the end of the season. I didn’t need to play a full season. … I reached out to him through Randy and a couple of other people just to come in and play third down and red zone situations. You know this dude really ignored me, bro?”

With Brady having just dealt with an uncontrollable and volatile situation with Brown, it isn’t all that surprising that he wouldn’t be eager to get an almost 50-year-old Owens on his team with his reputation of being difficult in the locker room.
So, Owens really shouldn’t have been surprised that Brady didn’t pick up the phone.
