Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens has never been one to keep his thoughts to himself – either for good or for bad.
In response to a podcast video of former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant airing his frustrations about the organization he used to play for, someone on social media asked Owens if he ever agreed with what Bryant was saying – specifically about how former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, tight end Jason Witten and head coach Jason Garrett treated other players.
Not only did Owens confirm how he left, he doubled down by calling the three “snakes.”
I did! Romo, Witten and Garrett are snakes https://t.co/pz9PIIXpTS

There is certainly a lot more to this story than just an eight-word social media post, but the sharpness in tone even in text is loud enough.
The Cowboys have been through some tumultuous times as arguably the most popular sports team in the United States, and the Romo and Garrett years were no different.
Despite successful regular-season stints, the Cowboys never found much postseason glory and never won a Super Bowl during their tenures in Dallas.
Owens spent three years with the Cowboys from 2006 to 2008 but was released ahead of the 2009 season even though he said he was assured he’d be re-signed.
He finished his career with limited appearances for the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals as well as time in smaller leagues like the Indoor Football League, the Canadian Football League, and the Fan Controlled Football league.
Owens was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
