The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the most iconic franchises in the NFL and that’s largely in part to former quarterback Terry Bradshaw.

The Steelers selected Bradshaw with the No. 1 overall pick in the 1970 NFL Draft and would go on to lead the team to four Super Bowl championships during his career.

Bradshaw is widely considered to have one of the strongest arms in league history, as well as the demeanor and leadership ability to get a team in order.

Since then, Bradshaw has been a staple on NFL broadcasts where he has established quite the fun and energetic personality on television.

However, fans shouldn’t forget how good of a quarterback he was given his list of accolades.

Surprisingly enough, though, when it came to calling plays in the huddle Bradshaw revealed that he was the one behind what the team ran via Games With Names.

“I called all of my plays in the pros, calling all my plays in college and not realizing that people don’t call their own plays,” Bradshaw revealed.

It’s hard to believe that Bradshaw was given free rein to call his own plays for so long, though in the clip he sounded like he was telling the truth.

That sort of freedom sounds unheard of in today’s NFL as quarterbacks rely on the head coaches or offensive coordinators for what play to run on the field.

If what Bradshaw said is true, then he is even more of a legend than he is though that kind of autonomy might not be seen in the league ever again.
