The Houston Texans don’t have that many legendary names in their history.

And even among those, J.J. Watt’s name should stand tall.

The former pass rusher was one of the most dominant defensive forces in the league during his heyday, and even though he couldn’t finish his career with the organization and they failed to win a Super Bowl with him anchoring their defense, he still gave his all every single day he set foot on that field.

That’s why it’s not a surprise to see that the organization intends to induct him into their Ring of Honor next season, more specifically in their Week 4 game vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers.

That’s not a coincidence, though, as it would mark the perfect opportunity to honor him, as his brother T.J. Watt will be on the other side of the field representing the Steelers, and there’s also a slight chance that the third brother, Derek, is also playing for Mike Tomlin’s team.

Watt entered the league as the No. 11 pick in 2011.

He made 128 appearances for the team over a decade, winning Defensive Player of the Year three times.

He hauled in 101 sacks, 25 forced fumbles, two interceptions returned for touchdowns, and a whopping 531 tackles before taking his talents to the Arizona Cardinals for the final two seasons of his illustrious career.

Watt’s name will also be remembered for his outstanding work with the community, helping raise more than $41 million to help out the victims of Hurricane Harvey back in 2017.

That’s the true definition of a legend and a leader right there.
