The Houston Texans were one of the most surprising teams in the NFL last season.
After only winning three games in 2022, the Texans turned things around and made the playoffs.
While there were other key contributors, C.J. Stroud was viewed as the biggest difference-maker for the team’s success.
Stroud is the latest example in a trend, that if a struggling team acquires a solid quarterback, great things can happen for them.
The Texans are now looking to capitalize on Stroud’s success.
They have already made several moves throughout the offseason to improve their team, including the additions of Stefon Diggs and Joe Mixon.
It appears they are not done adding to the roster, as reporter Aaron Wilson recently highlighted their signing of Nick Bawden, a former fullback for the New York Jets.

The fullback position has changed a lot in recent history, so this move raised some eyebrows.
Many teams do not list a fullback on their roster, and instead give those duties to one of their running backs.
Kyle Juszcuyk is the purest example of a fullback in the league today, and the San Francisco 49ers utilize him well in this role.
Bawden could serve a similar role for the Texans, even though they already have a great back in Mixon.
The move might appear as strange to some, but the Texans seemingly know what they are doing.
They were well-coached last year, and with Stroud’s rise to stardom, the team will do anything possible to get better.
