The Houston Texans had a strong belief in the 2023 NFL Draft class.
After selecting C.J. Stroud with the No. 2 overall pick, they traded up to the 3 spot to select edge-rusher, Will Anderson.
Both players are highly-touted prospects, and many believe Stroud is the future franchise quarterback for this organization.
Stroud’s public praise has gotten stronger as the regular season approaches, including glowing reviews from his teammates.
In a recent video shared by Aaron Wilson, Dalton Schultz had great things to say about Stroud.
“He’s got a good opportunity to take advantage of the situation here,” Schultz said.

Schultz spent the first five years of his career with the Dallas Cowboys before being signed by the Texans.
The team signed him to a one-year deal with hopes of an extension if he outperforms expectations.
2023 could be a career year for Schultz, especially if he can continue the connection he’s already built with Stroud.
The Texans’ pass-catching options are limited for Stroud in his rookie year, a further indication that Schultz could have a massive season.
Their receiving room is led by Nico Collins, John Metchie, and Robert Woods.
Many of Stroud’s teammates are young and inexperienced, but Schultz and Woods are the veterans of the group.
Stroud has already been named the team’s starter, which did not come as a surprise to anyone given his draft capital.
The Texans’ win/loss record is largely contingent on how Stroud performs in year one.
If their defense can keep him on the field, the Texans’ ceiling can only rise from here.
