The next generation of NFL quarterbacks has fully arrived as the league has seen several of them make the leap to superstardom.
Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes leads the pack as the undisputed best player in the NFL, though he’s seen his peers steadily close the gap.
With the NFL salary cap rising each and every year, teams have been able to re-sign their quarterbacks to record deals this past offseason.
However, the 2020 NFL Draft class has been turning heads as multiple players from the group have signed lucrative extensions that make them some of the highest-paid players in league history via NFL.

Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Herbert, Jordan Love and Jalen Hurts were all able to cash in after successful starts to their career and drove up the market for quarterback deals going forward.
That 2024 draft class is going to be at the forefront of the next generation of NFL stars and for good reason as each of them have made names for themselves on the field.
While the numbers might look like a lot on paper, this is the new reality that the league faces as more revenue comes in.
It’ll be interesting to see which quarterbacks join them in the coming years as teams continue to secure their futures at the position.
