The Atlanta Braves managed to put a stop to the Cincinnati Reds’ win streak on Saturday after the Reds had done the same to them the night before.
On Sunday, the Braves kept their momentum alive and ultimately stole the series away from the young, upstart Reds.
With their win on Sunday, they became the first team in the National League to reach 50 victories on the season.
They own the best record in the National League and hold a six-game advantage over the second-place Miami Marlins in the NL East.
On Twitter, MLB posted a cool graphic to celebrate the Braves’ latest accomplishment.

Over the past several seasons, Atlanta has been a model of consistency.
They returned to prominence in 2018 with a 90-win season and their first NL East title since 2012.
The Braves have reached the postseason and won the NL East in each of the following seasons.
Atlanta has reached the NLCS twice and even won their first World Series title since 1995 two years ago.
Once again, the five-time defending NL East champions find themselves on top.
But they now are at the top of the entire National League.
Atlanta has proven to be the most consistent team in the National League this season.
The Los Angeles Dodgers once held that mantle, but Atlanta appears to be the team to beat in the senior circuit.
Now, they’ve reached 50 wins and have their sights set on another trip to October in 2023.
After their series win in Cincinnati, they’ll head home to take on the Minnesota Twins.
