The Atlanta Braves are one of several teams off to a very good start this season.

Last year, the Braves overcame a 10.5-game deficit in the NL East and clinched the division for the fifth straight season, barely beating out the New York Mets.

This season, the Braves have started quite well.

They are 20-10 and are tied for the best record in the National League with the young, upstart Pittsburgh Pirates.

They also lead the NL East by 3.5 games over the Mets.

Atlanta’s starting rotation is what sets them apart from other teams.

Their current rotation of Max Fried, Kyle Wright, Charlie Morton, Spencer Strider, and Bryce Elder have posted an ERA of 2.53 over 26 starts and 142.1 innings of work.

They also have combined for a 12-4 record.

The #Braves current rotation of Fried, Strider, Elder, Wright and Morton are a combined 12-4 with a 2.53 ERA (40 ER / 142.1 IP) in 26 starts this season with 156 strikeouts and 51 walks.

Braves starting pitching is widely considered to be among the best in Major League Baseball.

With Fried, Strider, and Wright at the top, the Braves have won plenty of games.

The bottom part of the rotation, which features Elder and the veteran Morton, also has performed quite well.

The Braves reached the NLDS last season on the heels of their 2021 World Series championship run.

Unfortunately, Atlanta fell short against the Philadelphia Phillies and were unable to defend their title.

But with a strong rotation, the Braves are a clear contender for another World Series and are poised to make some more noise in the NL East and in the postseason should they qualify.

The rotation has been the strength of the team so far and has carried them throughout the first month of the season.
