The Atlanta Braves are doing things at the plate this season that have rarely been seen in MLB history.
Most of their success is coming at the hands of the long ball.
The Braves have been the best power-hitting team in baseball this year.
They have even put themselves in an elite category of home-run hitting teams.
As shared by MLB Stats, Ozzie Albies hit his 30th home run of the season over the weekend.
That gave the Braves five hitters with 30+ home runs on the year.
The 2019 Minnesota Twins were the only other team to accomplish that feat.

The five Braves to his 30+ homers are Albies, Matt Olson, Ronald Acuna Jr., Austin Riley, and Marcell Ozuna.
All five have been great this season, as the first four all made the NL All-Star team.
Olson leads all of baseball in home runs with 52.
Also, it seems likely that Acuna will win the National League MVP.
This team seems to have everything going its way heading into the postseason.
If the Braves continue to hit at an elite level, they will be a tough out.
Opposing pitching staffs will have their hands full trying not to give up the long ball.
If you can keep the Braves in the park, you have a chance to beat them.
Atlanta last won the World Series in 2021.
But, the 2023 Braves look better than the team that won that World Series.
Anything short of a World Series appearance will be a major disappointment for the Braves.
