The Milwaukee Bucks made the somewhat surprising decision to let go of coach Mike Budenholzer.

Budenholzer led them to an NBA championship just two seasons ago, but he was out-coached in the playoffs way too many times.

So, now that the new ownership is looking for his replacement, Jake Fischer reports, via NBACentral, that they could look to hire either Monty Williams or Tyronn Lue, should they become available.

Williams’ season with the Phoenix Suns came to an early and disappointing end in the second round of the playoffs.

They were undermanned and overmatched by the Denver Nuggets, but they were one of the best teams in the regular season, even despite all the injuries they went through.

As for the Los Angeles Clippers, there have been no reports about the team looking to part ways with coach Lue, regardless of the fact that they failed to make it past the first round of the playoffs.

Lue made a name for himself for his outstanding job with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he’s been very solid for with the Clippers as well, but Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have failed to stay healthy.

The Bucks will also have to make a decision regarding the futures of both Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez, as they’re not getting any younger and could be in for a huge payday.

Whatever the case, having the right guy leading the way will be key to success, so props to them for keeping their standards high for their coaching vacancy.
