The Milwaukee Bucks made one of the most surprising moves of the offseason so far.
That was firing championship-winning head coach Mike Budenholzer.
Milwaukee failed to make it out of the first round of the playoffs after getting upset by the Miami Heat.
The Bucks won the championship in 2021 but have failed to reach the conference finals in each of the past two years.
Someone had to take the fall for their lack of recent playoff success, and it was Budenholzer.
As the Bucks begin their search for a new head coach, one familiar name has been mentioned.
According to Shams Charania, the Bucks will interview former Warriors coach Mark Jackson for their head coach opening.
The Milwaukee Bucks are interviewing former Golden State coach Mark Jackson for their open head coaching job, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Jackson, who had a .526 winning percentage in three seasons as Warriors coach, was a finalist for the Kings job last year.

Jackson has most recently been a broadcaster for the NBA on ESPN.
But he has been looking to get back into coaching for a while now.
Last year, Jackson interviewed for the Kings’ head coaching job.
Now he gets another opportunity with the Bucks.
In his coaching career, Jackson has a 121-109 record.
But he does not have any playoff success (9-10 career playoff record) which is what the Bucks will be looking for.
Jackson is a former player so he can relate to many of the Bucks stars.
The next Bucks head coach will have plenty of pressure to get them back to the NBA Finals.
If not Jackson, two names the Bucks should be interested in are Monty Williams and Tyronn Lue.
Williams was just fired by the Suns, and Lue might be looking for a fresh start outside of LA.
Ultimately, the Bucks made a bold decision to fire Budenholzer.
It will be interesting to see if it works out for them in the long run.
