The Los Angeles Dodgers are facing elimination on Wednesday.

After dropping Game 2 of the National League Division Series on Monday against the Arizona Diamondbacks, the teams have now traveled to the desert to continue their exciting matchup.

Arizona is up 2-0 on the strength of their excellent starting pitchers, power, speed, and timely hitting.

The Dodgers haven’t had any answers to the D-Backs to this point, and none of their starters (Clayton Kershaw and Bobby Miller have taken the ball) have been able to limit the opposition.

Now, the Dodgers are turning to a trade deadline acquisition to save their season: Lance Lynn.

“The #Dodgers send Lance Lynn to the mound for Game 3 of their NLDS with the Dbacks. Join us for pregame coverage beginning at 5:00 PM on SportsNet LA!” SportsNet LA tweeted.

The veteran righty has been pitching in the postseason since 2011, including World Series appearances.

His 5.28 ERA in 58 playoff innings is not particularly good, but he has had his fair share of good moments and is now in an organization that can get the best of him at this point.

With the White Sox, Lynn had a 6.47 ERA.

However, upon landing in LA, the number was 4.36: not stellar, but much, much better.

The Dodgers will probably be happy if Lynn can give them five innings of two or three runs allowed.

Where they really need to snap out of it is on offense.

If they can’t hit rookie Brandon Pfaadt, the D-Backs starter for Wednesday, they are in serious, serious trouble.
