The Atlanta Falcons finished the 2022 season with a 7-10 record.
This was tied for the second-best record in the division, one game out of the playoffs.
With their eyes now focused on 2023, the Falcons have recently added a new receiving talent to their roster.
According to Ari Meirov, the Falcons have signed Chris Blair, who most recently played for the XFL’s DC Defenders.

As Meirov highlighted, Blair had 26 receptions for 594 yards while in the XFL.
Blair is one of several former XFL players who is getting a shot in the NFL.
Before joining the XFL, Blair was on the Green Bay Packers practice squad but was waived after two seasons.
The Falcons find themselves in a unique situation in 2023, given the current status of their division.
The Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and New Orleans Saints will each have a new quarterback at the helm.
Desmond Ridder is slated to be the Falcons’ starter, with Taylor Heinicke waiting in the wings.
A widespread change at quarterback could be a sign that the division is up for grabs.
Will Blair be able to find a home on the Falcons, contributing similarly to how he did in the XFL?
That remains to be seen, given the superstar talent that is ahead of him on the depth chart.
With Kyle Pitts and Drake London also on this roster, it could be difficult for a player like Blair to see much playing time.
Plus, the Falcons drafted Bijan Robinson this year, which could signal an even more focused rushing attack.
