It’s been a while since the New York Giants last ended a season atop the NFL, and while the future seems bright under Brian Daboll, it might take some time before they’re ready to compete for a Super Bowl.
That’s why their head coach may have looked for a little extra help to inspire his players, reaching out to the legendary Bill Parcels for some advice during training camp, per SNY Giants.
Parcells is obviously one of the most renowned coaches in the history of this game.

He coached his way into the Pro Football Hall of Fame after winning two Super Bowls and multiple conference titles.
Needless to say, his eight-season tenure with the G-Men was the most successful of his career, leading the franchise to two titles with the legendary Lawrence Taylor anchoring his historically-great defense.
The Giants were one of the most improved teams in the league last season, even upsetting the Minnesota Vikings to get a spot in the divisional round.
So, with Daboll looking to take a page out of Parcells’ book, he invited the legendary coach to take a glimpse of what they’re doing in minicamp.
The Giants will look to make it back to the playoffs despite playing in one of the most competitive divisions in the league.
Unfortunately for him and everybody involved, Saquon Barkley is still missing in action and unlikely to report until he gets a new deal, and he could’ve heard a thing or two from one of the greatest minds in the history of this game.
