There have been plenty of big rumors surrounding the Cleveland Cavaliers as of late.
It all started when Brian Windhorst of ESPN claimed that he heard some “outlandish” things from the organization, and then someone claimed that they were looking to trade Darius Garland.
Windhorst later cleared the air by affirming that the team wouldn’t trade Garland or Donovan Mitchell, but it still seems like the Cavs are getting ready to make some moves.
According to Miami Heat beat writer Barry Jackson, via NBACentral, the Cavs are currently discussing a sign-and-trade involving Max Strus.

Strus played a big role in the Heat’s postseason run, and he played himself into a big contract.
The Indiana Pacers were among the frontrunners to sign him, but the Heat would obviously rather cash in and get something in return for his services, assuming that’s on the table.
The Cavs lacked a starting-caliber small forward for their closing lineups, and Strus might as well be just what they need, giving them another solid defender who won’t be an offensive liability.
Strus boasts that hard-nosed character that comes with the Heat’s undrafted guys, those who have to work their way up the rotation and prove that they’re worthy of those minutes in every single game, and that could also help build a winning culture inside a young Cavs locker room.
As for what they’re willing to give up in return, that has yet to be disclosed, but Caris LeVert should be one of the primary candidates to be on his way out of The Land.
